Jack Welsh is a Liverpool based artist and writer who works freelance on various projects within the arts.
Primarily a sculptor, he is interested with the adaptation and appropriation of common imagery materials and subject matter and the consequential recontextualisation of these subjects during and after the process of creation. This is then manifested via a physical sculptural presence within the space that aims to force the viewer to reassess their own standing in the immediate and wider environment.
He is currently exploring imagery and forms that are encountered but rarely processed by the viewer throughout the course of everyday life, using transportation hubs as the catalyst for his investigations.
As well as being part of the 7 @ Group , Jack is a member and studio occupant of Arena Art & Design Association.
