My practice is driven by the process, exploring the act of drawing. I have discovered that it is an immediate way of expressing ideas. I try to deal with the concept of memory and the passage of time. The ability to capture a fleeting moment and question exactly what constitutes as a memory. Using photography as a starting point, I draw upon personal experiences as a basis for making work. I continue to explore the psychology of drawing, how we use drawing as way of communicating ideas by showing are thought process. As an artist this is a vital thing to consider when developing your own visual language. Drawing helps to acquire basic hand and eye coordination skills. I wish to continue to create work which is based on human experiences in relation to the world around me. I have always been less interested in the end result but rather exploring the different approaches that can be undertaken when making my work.
